Dingell Sees Smooth Streets Ahead for Automakers, Rough Road for Trade Deal

The North American International Auto Show underway this week at Cobo Center in Detroit traditionally draws high-powered government officials from in and outside of Michigan.

None have more of a stake in the success of the auto industry than Dearborn Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, whose district includes the headquarters of the Ford Motor Company.

Dingell tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter she especially looks forward to sharing the car companies’ achievements next week, when the man she says helped save the industry visits the auto show: President Obama.
