GMC unveiled its 2017 Acadia at the North American Auto Show Tuesday. The crossover can seat five to seven passengers and is 700 pounds lighter than the current model. Mark Reuss is the Executive Vice President of Global Product Development at GM. He says the vehicle has a new engine designed for families who like to travel.

“We’re also offering a new 3.6 liter V-6 with active fuel management for families that have trailers and tow,” Reuss says. “It delivers 310 horsepower and an estimated 4,000 pound towing capability.”

Reuss says the crossover also uses a rear camera to help line up the hitch with the vehicle with a new tow-vision system. The Acadia will go on the market in the spring.
