Kent Mauck

Last night’s Iowa caucus results may not be too shocking to anyone following the coverage of political candidates over the past several months. But there were some noteworthy moments; Marco Rubio came in third place for the Republicans, but was the decisive so-called “establishment” victor; Hillary Clinton just barely defeated Bernie Sanders, and in some precincts she won with a literal coin toss; and perhaps the biggest winner of all was the state of Iowa where record numbers of voters turned out to caucus.
