Obama to Visit Warren Next Week

Mr. Obama travels to the site of his first appearance as President in Michigan to discuss the economy.

President Obama heads to Warren next week for a speech at the site where he first visited Michigan as the leader of the free world.

The President will speak at Macomb Community College in Warren.

White House officials say Mr. Obama will discuss how investing in improving the skills of workers can help grow the nation’s overall economy.

The President will be in Michigan just as Congress reconvenes with several key issues on the table, including the Obama Administration’s proposed deal to limit the development of nuclear weapons in Iran and reaching a compromise on federal spending in order to keep the government from shutting down by the end of the month.

Mr. Obama will be accompanied in Warren by Dr. Jill Biden, whose husband, Vice President Joe Biden, is weighing whether to make a bid for the top job in the White House.
