Clerks Didn’t Have to Wait to Issue Marriage Licenses after SCOTUS Ruling

County clerks in Michigan started issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Friday that such unions are legal. Brown also says the state has provided her office with new license forms that reflect the change.
