Annamarie Sysling is a producer for Detroit Public TV's Great Lakes Now.

She is a former producer for “Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson.” She also focuses on solutions-oriented environmental stories as a reporter.

Sysling was an intern at WDET beginning in 2012 and has worked as a freelance reporter, producer and storyteller for a variety of media outlets. She was hired by WDET in 2014 as a part-time reporter and anchor, and became a full time producer for Detroit Today in the Fall of 2019. For her 30th birthday, she went to the U.S.-Mexico border and volunteered in the Sonoran Desert searching for migrants with a humanitarian aid group.

When she’s not at work, Sysling is likely walking through the city, practicing yoga or out in her garden.
