Sam Beaubien is a musician, producer, educator, and composer from Detroit. He attended Wayne State University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Master's Degree in Jazz Studies. As an educator, Beaubien has taught music, composition, and audio engineering to children and adults across the Detroit region. He founded the acclaimed ensemble Will Sessions and quickly gained renown as a sought-after producer and musician in Detroit. Will Sessions boasts an impressive discography, collaborating with icons across various Detroit music genres. Beaubien's work has been featured on tracks with Slum Village, J Dilla, Amp Fiddler, Mahogani Music, De La Soul, Phife Dawg, Little Brother, Danny Brown, Dennis Coffey, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, KRS-One, and many others. His deep knowledge of Detroit music and its history led to his role as Creative Producer and Engineer at WDET Detroit Public Radio, where he has earned over ten broadcast awards. Additionally, he composes advertisements for major auto manufacturers in Detroit such as Chrysler, Ford, and GM, and has contributed to national spots with DJ Khaled and many other corporate clients. His compositions have been featured in popular media including the video game Grand Theft Auto V, ESPN's 30 for 30 podcast, and TV shows on Comedy Central, HBO, Showtime, and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.
