A new Congress will be sworn in on Thursday. The U.S. House of Representatives will shift to Democratic control for the first time since 2009.

The new Congress begins work as its leaders — in both houses and both parties — battle with President Trump over government funding and a border wall with Mexico.

How will Democrats handle their new leadership roles? What are their priorities heading into 2019?
