Students from Detroit, Novi, Grosse Pointe, Dearborn and other communities are meeting this weekend to learn to be better activists. They will be attending a workshop called “Strengthening Youth Leadership for Social Justice in Metro Detroit.”

The event was planned by fellows from the Youth Social Justice Fellowship, a branch of the Youth Dialogues on Race and Ethnicity Program  at the University of Michigan. Fellows Pamela Beltran, a junior at Cass Tech High School in Detroit, and Harry Susalla, a senior at Grosse Pointe South High School talk about the workshop and youth activism.
