Flint Activist Responds to Snyder’s State of the State Address

Flint resident says she felt Snyder’s apology was not sincere.

The Flint water crisis was the main topic of Governor Rick Snyder’s State of the State Address last night. Snyder apologized to the people of Flint and committed to request $28 million from the legislature toward water, filters, and repairs in day-cares and schools.

Flint resident Chia Morgan is with the organization Well of Hope, a nonprofit in the city dedicated to ending poverty. The group has been actively providing cases water to residents.

She attended the State of the State address and spoke with WDET’s Bre’Anna Tinsley about what she thought of the governor’s apology.
