Take on Hate Says Rejecting Syrian Refugees is Dangerous and Irresponsible

Take on Hate, ACCESS, and NNAAC are protesting a bill passed in the House that could reject Syrian refugees.

Take on Hate

Several groups gathered to prevent a bill to stop Syrian and Iraqi refugees from entering the US from passing in the Senate. Take on Hate, The National Network of Arab Communities, and ACCESS are asking communities to contact their Senators and protest the measure. The groups are also asking mass media outlets to stop covering Syrian immigrants with what they callan “anti-refugee rhetoric.” WDET’s Bre’Anna Tinsley spoke with Rashida Tlaib  of Take on Hate about how the media influences opinion in the US.
