This Hamtramck Musician Wrote A Country-Western Ballad About COVID-19
While the COVID-19 pandemic has put the brakes on social gathering, one local musician is finding inspiration in life under lockdown.
Detroit musician Todd McNulty is, like everyone else, mostly stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unlike everyone else, McNulty was inspired to pen a country-western-tinged ballad about the situation.
“I was sitting here in my attic with all my instruments, telling myself I should be playing more,” McNulty says.
His friends were all working on their own “personal COVID rock songs.”
“It made me want to write my own little tune,” says McNulty. Something “to try to make people smile a bit right now.”
