This summer we’ve been getting to know the farmers and vendors at Eastern Market to see what’s fresh each weekend.

Available now is a product called black garlic. 

However, it’s not a species of the root vegetable. It’s a special way of preparing your average garlic bulb through fermentation. 

Vince Sanna of Give and Grow Mushrooms explains how it’s done.
