Analyst Nate Silver: Trump Victory Must Go Through Midwest

Tonight Republican Mike Pence and Democrat Tim Kaine face off in the first, and only, Vice Presidential debate.

The nominees themselves, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, hold their second debate this weekend.

And some of the nation’s top analysts say either candidate could still win the election.

Renowned analyst Nate Silver, editor in chief of the website FiveThirtyEight, estimates Trump has a one-in-three chance of winning at the moment.

But Silver tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter much of the outcome will be determined by Clinton and Trump’s performance in the Midwest.
