Kendrick laid it all on the line for artists like me”

Detroit rap phenom Danny Brown has been in the game for a minute now. His blunt outlook of urban life and his no-nonsense take on the hip-hop industry has made him one of the premier voices in modern music. A peer and personal friend, Compton’s Kendrick Lamar recently dropped his sophomore album, “To Pimp a Butterfly,” already deemed by many critics as an instant classic. Danny sits down with WDET’s Travis Wright to talk about the album, the current musical landscape, the “Dilla kids” of L.A and the timeline for his next album.
