Candice Fortman has a passion for marketing and media and she’s not afraid to show it! Prior to joining WDET in 2015, Candice served as Promotions Manager for the Clear Channel owned stations WKQI-FM, WMXD-FM and WNIC-FM. Working simultaneously for such different stations gave her a great training ground for the start of her professional career.

After leaving Clear Channel, Candice joined the Special Events and Services team at Wayne State University. During this time, she also started her own company, Wendy's Girl Media (WGM), a boutique social media and marketing company. A lover of Detroit, she is involved with a number of community organizations using her skills to make the city a better place in any way she can. If asked what her secret weapons are for a life well lived are, she would tell you yoga, Twitter, bacon and a daily belly laugh.
