The former aide to Congressman John Conyers (D-Detroit) who settled a sexual misconduct complaint against him is now speaking out in media interviews.

In an interview on WDET’s Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson, Marion Brown describes an office — heavy with female staffers — that was run in a way that encouraged them to compete for his attention.

And she says many of the things they were expected to do were inappropriate.

“At one time, it was said amongst staff members – females – that he thinks his initials – J.C. – stands for Jesus Christ,” says Brown.

Brown also appeared on NBC’s The Today Show on Thursday morning.

Conyers’ lawyer continues to deny any wrongdoing and says the Congressman does not plan to sue Marion Brown for violating a non-disclosure agreement.

Brown’s full interview on Detroit Today will air Friday morning at 9 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. You can hear an excerpt from that interview by clicking on the audio player above.
