The longest-serving member in the history of Congress says the fate of the nation depends on grooming a new generation of leaders.

So retired Michigan Congressman John Dingell is lending his name and expertise to promote issues he championed, and provide insight to students, at the University of Michigan – Dearborn.

Now approaching his 89th birthday, Dingell tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter that retirement does not equal an end to public service.
