Mother Theresa’s Sainthood

Small in stature but a big heart and mission

This Sunday Pope Francis plans to canonize Mother Theresa. That means the iconic humanitarian will receive sainthood. Kevin Mannara is a Basillian Seminarian working with Assumption Parish in Windsor. He is attending the ceremonies for Mother Theresa in Saint Peter Square. Mother Theresa visited Detroit in 1979, the same year she won the Nobel Peace Prize. She died in 1997. Mannara spoke with WDET’s Amy Miller about the legacy of Mother Theresa.
