There are at least two things that are universal about living in Southeastern Michigan — we all drive on crumbling roads and bridges, and we all have our own opinions about what needs to be done to fix those terrible roads.

In the coming weeks, the Center for Michigan is giving people an opportunity to share those thoughts during a series of events across Michigan.

The Center is holding three events as part of the Roads Solutions Summit, starting with an event Thursday in Detroit at 9 a.m.

Not only can you share your thoughts and opinions about the roads, you might also learn a bit more about the state of our infrastructure.

Chastity Pratt Dawsey is a reporter with Bridge Magazine, which is published by the Center for Michigan. Pratt Dawsey will moderate the panels during the Center for Michigan’s Roads Solutions Summit event in Detroit.

Chad Livengood is a reporter with Crain’s Detroit Business. He will offer opening remarks at the event.

Pratt Dawsey and Livengood join WDET’s Jake Neher on Detroit Today to talk about the Roads Solution Summit, as well as the state of the road funding debate in Michigan.
