‘Is This Really Happening Right Now?’ Rep. Lawrence Reacts to Attempt to Prove Trump Not Racist

This week’s testimony from President Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen was riveting enough.

But later in the hearing, things got even more interesting after Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) invited longtime Trump friend and current Department of Housing and Urban Development official Lynne Patton to attend the hearing and stand next to him during that part of his questions that were meant to push back on claims that Trump is racist. Patton is black. Michigan Congresswomen Brenda Lawrence and Rashida Tlaib both pushed back saying Meadows was using Patton as a “prop.”
