Valentine’s Day Events for Families

The Winter Blast ends this weekend. Metro Parent Magazine Editor Julia Elliott says families looking for wintry fun can also visit the Ann Arbor Ice Carving Festival today (Sat).
Elliott says there are also opportunities to celebrate Valentine’s Day with kids. That includes the Valentine’s Family Fun Day at Beacon Park in Detroit.
“You get to see a screening of the Princess and the Frog,” Elliott says. ” You learn to make roses out of tissue. There’s going to be local food trucks on site. So, you can get a snack.”
Those events are free. But Elliott says for a small admission fee…the whole family can enjoy square dancing this evening (Sat) at Kensington Metropark Farm Center’s Barn Dance.
