The Holly Dickens Festival and Free Day at Michigan Science Center

This Weekend’s Coolest Kid Hangs from Metro Parent Magazine Editor Julia Elliott

America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a must-do on many family bucket lists. But there are many other fun events this weekend for children and families.

Metro Parent Magazine Editor Julia Elliott says admission to the Michigan Science Center is free this Friday.

“They have a lot of great exhibits,” Elliott says. “It’s really quite a gem, and to have a chance to go there for free on Black Friday – why not?”

Elliott says the town of Holly has a special offering this weekend. It will be transformed for the Christmas season into a vision straight out of A Christmas Carol. The Holly Dickens Festival starts Friday and runs through December 9th.
