Former White House chief strategist and Executive Chairman of Breitbart News Steve Bannon was in town this week. He spoke at the Macomb County Republican Party Lincoln/Reagan Unity Dinner Wednesday night in Warren.

State Rep. Peter Lucido (R-Shelby Twp.) was in the audience, and joins Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson to talk about Bannon’s visit, as well as this week’s elections, and some fundamental differences — and some similarities — in opinion he has with Democrats on a number of pressing political issues.

“Steve Bannon is either going to be hated or going to be loved. There’s no in-between with Steve Bannon,” says Lucido. “Did he talk about things that were disingenuous? No.”

“He talked about the strategies he used, he talked about the efforts that were going on in the war room to get a no-brand elected president of the United States. And that’s the American Dream anyways.”
