Jobless Rate in Windsor Drops Dramatically

Ford, Fiat Chrysler and federal money spark economic growth

“In April our unemployment rate hit about 4.9 percent, which is the lowest it has been nearly 15 years in the City of Windsor”

 

The City of Windsor is currently experiencing its lowest jobless rate in 15 years. Unemployment has dropped 5 percentage points since last year. Matt Johnson is the Economic Development Director for the City of Windsor. He tells WDET’s Amy Miller that Fiat Chrysler and Ford have much to do with the turn-around
