Problems at the Russell Industrial Center Highlight Detroit’s Lack of Viable Artist Space

After two weeks of confusion, tenants at the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit will be allowed to stay in their studios at the sprawling arts complex. The situation has raised the issue of the lack of affordable, legal artist studio space in the city.
