A federal judge in Detroit has cancelled a Monday hearing in a local lawsuit challenging President Trump’s executive order on immigration.
The Arab American Civil Rights League and six individuals filed a lawsuit in federal court in Detroit late last month. They’re asking a federal judge to declare Trump’s executive order on immigration unconstitutional.

Two days after that filing, U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts issued a permanent injunction against part of the president’s order. Then on Thursday the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in California let stand a lower court ruling that halted enforcement of Trump’s complete travel ban nationwide.
Because of that ruling, Roberts today cancelled a motion hearing scheduled for Monday in the Arab American Civil Rights League case.
No other proceedings have been scheduled but a group of other civil rights organizations have joined the case.
