Why Did Alzheimer’s Kill Gene Wilder?

Experts say the disease causes a multitude of related health issues

Actor Gene Wilder died this week from complications related to Alzheimer’s disease. He was 83 years old. What many people have wondered is how the disease killed him just three years after diagnosis. Kate Pierce is a Manager for Alzheimer’s Association-Greater Michigan Chapter. She tells WDET’s Amy Miller that most patients die of complications related to the disease.
