Tesla Gigafactory Energizes Battery Production

Automaker Tesla is opening the Gigafactory, a huge complex that could redefine battery production.

Automaker Tesla is staking much of its future on a new facility – a sprawling, battery-producing factory.

The Gigafactory is a $5 billion project.

Tim Stevens is the Editor-in-Chief of the program Roadshow at the online business media outlet CNET. He toured the huge facility.

Stevens tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter Tesla has created something that could teach Detroit’s Big Three automakers a few lessons.
