Learn How to Eat Bugs This Weekend
First ever U.S. “insects as food conference” takes place at Wayne State
There is an opportunity to broaden your palate this weekend. Beginning today , May 26, the first Edible Insect Conference in the United States gets underway at Wayne State University. It includes speakers, presentations, insect food vendors and activities for children. Wayne State University Department of Anthropology Assistant Professor Julie Lesnik is helping organize the event. She tells WDET’s Amy Miller that the United Nations urges countries to eat more bugs.
