Lions WR Calvin Johnson Retires From NFL

Calvin Johnson’s retirement from the National Football League on Tuesday wasn’t much of a surprise. He first said he was thinking about it after the Lions played their last game of the 2015 season in January. By contrast, Barry Sanders’ retirement came out of nowhere, when he faxed his announcement to a newspaper in Wichita, Kansas days before the 1999 season. WDET Detroit Today producer and sports journalist Art Regner tells Pat Batcheller some of the reasons why Johnson is ending his career after nine seasons.
