Michigan Congressman Says Refugees Important to State

Michigan Congressman Mike Bishop thinks properly-vetted refugees should be allowed in the U.S.

Long-time Republican state lawmaker Mike Bishop has served during the past year in a new role, for him.  He’s represented Michigan’s 8th District in Congress.

Bishop says it’s given him a platform to press for issues close to his heart, like ensuring refugees have access to the Metro Detroit area.

The Congressman talked about it at the North American International Auto Show with WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter.
