A Look Back on the First Democratic Presidential Debate

Best Moment: Bernie Sanders, in a surprising political turn, condemned the focus the media gives to the scandal involving her private email server. “That was Hillary’s best moment,” Gonyea says.

 

O’Malley: Martin O’Malley’s presence at the debate made an impact on Stephen, and certainly . “[He] made himself look like someone who four to eight years down the road might be a more formidable candidate,” Stephen says.

 

Boost: Gonyea thinks that appearing on the debates can at least increase awareness of O’Malley’s campaign, saying to Stephen, “He had two hours on prime time television, and that can’t help but give him a boost.”
