10.2.15 That Was the Week That Was…

Detroit News reporter Chad Livengood updates on the Courser/Gamrat scandal.

Detroit News reporter Chad Livengood joins host Stephen Henderson to break down the week in Michigan political news. Among the issues they discuss:

Courser/Gamrat: Former state representatives Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat have decided to run for the seats they were forced out of in special elections. Livengood says the two scandalized lawmakers had fallen off reporters’ radars before the now-infamous audio recordings of Courser surfaced in the Detroit News.

VP Biden’s Potential Run: Some Democrats in Michigan are waiting to see if Vice President Joe Biden will join Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in the race for the Democratic nomination for president. Livengood writes in the Detroit News, “The timing of Biden’s decision-making process is unknown, but party insiders contend the Oct. 13 Democratic presidential candidate debate puts added pressure on the vice president to make up his mind.”
