New Road Plan Could Mean Higher Fuel Tax, Lower Income Tax
State Senate considers a 15-cent per gallon fuel tax increase to fix Michigan roads.
The Michigan Senate could vote Wednesday on a plan to raise the state’s gasoline tax to pay for road and bridge repairs. The package may also include a conditional cut in the state’s income tax rate.
