Michigan Health Director Welcomes ACA Ruling
MDCH’s Nick Lyon says tax subsidies help almost 300,000 state residents.
Thousands of Michigan residents receive the federal health care subsidies that were upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday. Many state officials welcome the ruling, including Nick Lyon, director of the Michigan Department of Community Health. He tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the court’s decision will mean people who buy insurance through the federal health exchange will continue to receive affordable coverage.
