Live from Mackinac: Roads and Rhodes
Conference features panel on roads and a visit from Detroit’s bankruptcy judge.
The 2015 Mackinac Policy Conference wraps up Friday with a panel discussion on roads. Michigan voters rejected a sales tax increase on May 5 that would have generated more than $1 billion a year to fix roads and bridges. WDET’s Jerome Vaughn spoke with Westland Mayor William Wild, who says state politicians need to listen to local leaders. Jerome also tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller that the judge who presided over Detroit’s bankruptcy spoke at the conference.
