DIA Becomes 1920’s Hollywood for Film Festival Gala

Detroit Free Press

The Detroit Institute of Arts goes back in time Saturday to celebrate the golden age of cinema.

The museum is sponsoring a 1920’s-themed gala in conjunction with the Detroit Free Press Film Festival.

The event’s executive producer, Aaron Velthoven, tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter it’s a celebration based on the glitz and glamour showcased in novels like “The Great Gatsby.”
