Fired For Not Supporting Trump: Ousted Michigan GOP Official Joins Detroit Today

“(Trump) owes his supporters more,” says Wendy Day. “He owes them a better campaign.”

Earlier this week, Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson asked Republicans how they’re feeling about this year’s election. Some said that they can’t bring themselves to vote for presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Wendy Day also falls in that category — and this week, it cost her her job.

The Michigan Republican Party removed her from the position of grassroots vice chair due to her ongoing refusal to support Donald Trump.

“I think it became a national story that didn’t need to be, and I’m disappointed,” Day tells Henderson on Detroit Today.

“(Trump) owes his supporters more,” she continues. “He owes them a better campaign.”
