Distracted adults a leading factor in drowning accidents

As summer approaches public safety and health officials in Oakland County are kicking off a water safety education campaign. Last year Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties each had at least one drowning accident and many more near misses. Goldfish Swim Schools CEO Chris McCuiston says distractions are a major factor in drowning incidents. He says one thing all adults can do to help with water safety is take a CPR and First Aid class. McCuiston spoke with WDET’s Amy Miller
