This week Truscott Rossman — the influential political PR consulting firm in Lansing — announced it will open an office in Washington D.C.

That move comes during a time of political upheaval in the nation’s capital.

Who will work there, and what issues with the bipartisan firm tackle in such a contentious and divisive moment in politics?

Stephen Henderson speaks with the two leaders of that firm, John Truscott and Ron Fournier. Truscott is a longtime political figure in Michigan who served at John Engler’s press secretary when Engler was governor of Michigan. Truscott is a former White House correspondent for the Associated Press and the former publisher of Crain’s Detroit Business.

Fournier and Truscott also weigh in on the latest news from Washington, including Roger Stone’s arrest Friday morning and the uncertainty over this year’s State of the Union address.
