Downtown Detroit seems to be where many of the newest restaurants are opening.
Ann Arbor-based Frita Batidos is the latest eatery set to open near the Fox Theatre and Little Caesers Arena. This will be the Cuban-inspired restaurant’s first location in Detroit.
CultureShift’s Ryan Patrick Hooper speaks with Detroit News features reporter Melody Baetens about the long-awaited Detroit location of Frita Batidos.
Baetens says Chef Eve Aronoff has been planning on opening a location in Detroit for years.
“The fact that it’s this Olympia development, near the new arena, in the theater district…is a big deal that it’s happening,” says Baetens. “I think people are going to react well to it.”
