Photos: The people of Movement Electronic Music Festival

Photographer Niki Williams captures portraits of several attendees from last year’s Movement festival.

People of Movement

The people of Movement.

Movement is about music. Through the lens of photographer Niki Williams, it’s about the people who chase the sound.

As legendary as the music is, so is the fashion and aesthetic that has evolved around the festival. Last year, I asked Niki to turn his lens to the patrons shuffling around the festival grounds, letting loose of their inhibitions and looking fantastic as they went. He’s got a natural ability to get people to let down their guard and really share their true selves with the camera.

As part of WDET and Movement’s partnership this year, here are the photos Niki grabbed for us last year as we get ready to launch into the madness of 2024.

See you out there.
