WDET wins general excellence, 14 additional awards from Michigan Associated Press

The APME Awards recognize the best journalism work in a variety of categories across radio, TV and newspaper outlets.

Detroit’s NPR Station 101.9 WDET was recognized for its general excellence in audio journalism and secured 14 other awards, including best use of sound, sports features and best newscast, from the Michigan Associated Press Media Editors.

The APME Awards recognize the best journalism work in a variety of categories across radio, TV and newspaper outlets.

WDET’s general excellence award win marks the station’s second top prize this year after winning its second consecutive Public Radio Station of the Year award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
