Michigan’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency recalls infused pre-rolled joints from Hazel Park producer
The affected joints were sold between Nov. 25, 2023 and May 6, 2024 at 20 different dispensaries throughout the state.
Michigan’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) is recalling 1,098 units of infused pre-rolled joints from Hazel Park-based manufacturer Flavor Galaxy after discovering that the company did not submit them for testing in their final form.
During its investigation, the agency reports it discovered that the company had submitted the raw marijuana flower for safety compliance and potency, but failed to test the pre-rolls after the company added THC oil and other aromatic compounds to the product.
Jon Shina, president of Flavor Galaxy LLC, told WDET in a statement that the allegations by CRA were “unfounded” and “are in no way related to the quality of content of our products.”
“…at no point has Flavor Galazy ever added any marijuana product or ingredient to any of our products after safety compliance testing or after they were in final form, and any suggestion otherwise is as bizarre as it is offensive,” the statement read.
The joints affected by the CRA recall were sold at the following Michigan dispensaries between Nov. 25, 2023 and May 6, 2024:

- Olswell Cannabis Co. – 1465 W Beecher St, Adrian
- Quest Cannabis – Main St Suite B, Whitmore Lake
- Endo Vibe Cannabis Centers – 307 E Beecher St, Adrian
- Levels Provisioning of Sturgis – 1139 S Centerville RD Suite C, Sturgis
- Cloud Cannabis Cedar Springs – 206 N Main St NE, Cedar Springs
- Cloud Cannabis – 28th Street, 928 28th St SE, Grand Rapids
- Cloud Cannabis Fulton – 621 Fulton ST W., Grand Rapids
- Cloud Gaylord, LLC – 710 Edelweiss Village Pkwy, Gaylord
- Levels of Lansing – 5508 South Cedar St, Lansing
- Planet 59 – 4641 Highland Rd, Waterford
- Kush Kabana – 6597 E. Main ST Unit B, Eau Claire,
- Cherry Brands – 3245 E Michigan Ave, Jackson
- Cloud Cannabis Company – 710 Edelweiss Village Pkwy, Gaylord
- Cloud Cannabis Company – 928 28th SE St, Grand Rapids
- Herbology Cannabis Co. – 11392 West Jefferson Ave, River Rouge
Consumers who purchased a Flavor Galaxy-produced infused pre-roll at any of the above retail locations during that timeframe should consult METRC, Michigan’s Cannabis Compliance Tracking System and Software database, to confirm whether the products are included in the recall.
Affected joints should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase for proper disposal, according to the agency. Dispensaries that sold the joints must also put up a notice of the recall on the sales floor for 30 days.
