VP Kamala Harris to highlight administration’s economic achievements in Detroit today

Vice President Kamala Harris is on a nationwide “Economic Opportunity Tour” designed to showcase the effects of the Biden Administration’s agenda on everything from community investment to forgiving student loans.

At Detroit’s Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Harris plans to announce more than $100 million to aid auto parts manufacturers.

Several top Michigan Democratic officials are scheduled to join Harris as well as the acting Labor Secretary and Energy Secretary and former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.

President Biden will address the NAACP in Detroit in two weeks.

Former President Trump held a rally in Saginaw County last week and is scheduled to headline a conservative organization’s convention in Detroit next month.
