Detroit Today: What Jocelyn Benson has been doing to protect Michigan’s elections

Earlier this week, former president Donald Trump — the frontrunner for the Republican 2024 presidential nomination — was indicted over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.  

Michigan is mentioned nearly 40 times in the 45-page grand jury indictment, including how Trump attempted to overturn the election in the state.

The indictment claims Trump knowingly attempted to block vote counting in Michigan, which is overseen by Michigan’s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.

Benson joined Detroit Today to reflect what she and her office have learned after the 2020 elections.
