The COVID-19 global pandemic has stress levels peaking. Here’s a technique you can use to calm down.

“We forget how to take a full belly breath, it’s something we haven’t done since we were children.”

Erin Allen is a yoga teacher and audio producer. She says mindful breathing can help both mentally and physiologically.

“Breath is so vital,” Allen says. “Oxygen gets into our brains and into our muscles. That carbon dioxide needs to leave our body, our lungs, completely.”

In CultureShift’s newest segment, “Take A Deep Breath,” we invited Allen to lead mindful, deep breathing exercises for listeners.

“We forget how to take a full belly breath, it’s something we haven’t done since we were children,” she says.
