At midnight on Friday, November 22, CultureShift’s Amanda LeClaire took over the WDET airwaves for a special broadcast.

Exploring the darker, more experimental side of the musical spectrum, she played two-hours of electronic, ambient, and hip-hop-influenced jazz.

The show featured new music from Detroit’s Shigeto and renowned house producer Theo Parrish, as well as the latest releases from German composer Nils Frahm and analog synth artist Caterina Barbieri. She also explored the exciting new sounds of London’s jazz scene with music from Kamaal Williams and Detroit noise duo The New Me.
