A new wave of herbal drinks has started to take root online with products like “Kin” and “Curious Elixirs” popping up as alternatives to alcohol.

Here in Detroit, herbalist Heather Mourer wants to offer residents a booze-free alternative to nights out on the town where beer, wine, and liquor are often the only beverages served.

On Friday, October 11, her company Hedgewitch Holistics will host a pop-up at Medicina Urbana in Southwest Detroit serving a menu of alcohol-free, herbal tonics.
